Fire and Police Departments will continue to provide patrol, jail, fire, paramedic and all other emergency services. Residents are advised to call 9-1-1 for life-threatening emergencies. For non-emergency assistance call (626) 744-4241 (Pasadena) and (626) 403-7270 (South Pasadena).
The Pasadena City Council will not meet on Monday, Jan. 17. The next City Council meeting is scheduled for Monday, Jan. 24.
Residents and businesses with power emergencies should call Pasadena Water and Power (PWP) at (626) 744-4673. For water-related emergencies, call (626) 744-4138. PWP’s Customer Service Call Center will be closed, but customers can access their accounts and make payments by phone at (626) 744-4005 or online.
The Permit Center will also be closed; however, some services will be available via Permit Center Online, where you can obtain subtrade permits and submit plans for commercial tenant improvements (new) and accessory dwelling units. In-person operations will resume Tuesday, Jan. 18.
The City of Pasadena will not collect trash, recycling or yard waste on Monday, Jan. 17. Collection will occur one day after your regular pickup day.
All parking meters will be free, and parking time limits will not be enforced; however, violations for overnight parking, red curb parking, “No Parking” zones, and blocking fire hydrants will be enforced. All regular enforcement resumes Tuesday, Jan. 18.
Pasadena Transit and Dial-A-Ride buses will operate on regular weekday schedules on Monday, Jan. 17.
Pasadena Public Library sites will be closed Sunday, Jan. 16, and Monday, Jan. 17, and will reopen Tuesday, Jan. 18.
As the City continues to experience a surge in COVID-19 infections, Pasadena employers will soon be required to provide upgraded face masks—such as N95 or KN95—to their on-site employees, contracted workers and volunteers to wear at all times while indoors at their worksite. The new health order (click to view) will take effect on Monday, Jan. 17. Employers are encouraged to procure and upgrade masks for their employees prior to Jan. 17.
