Snake Discovery will bring a tiger salamander, one to two native turtles, three to four native snakes and two to four exotic reptiles. A large boa constrictor named Doug will also make an appearance. Time will be set aside after the presentation for attendees to touch and hold the reptiles.

The run honors Kristin Burkholder who died at age 12 from injuries suffered in a pedestrian-car crash while she was running for track practice. Knotweed Workshop, 6-7:30 p.m., Cloquet Public Library. Knotweed or bamboo is an invasive plant that spreads rapidly. It can damage property including lakes and stream corridors. Experts from the Minnesota Department of Agriculture and the Duluth Collaborative Invasive Species Management Area will teach attendees how to identify knotweed, map it and slow its spread.
