Now that we're halfway through 2022, Wonderwall.com is turning up the heat on some famous faces and looking back at the stars responsible for some boneheaded moments, starting with this weird one… Machine Gun Kelly was in the midst of a concert afterparty in New York City on June 28 when he decided to raise a glass of champagne for a toast. Instead of clinking glasses with anyone, he slammed the glass into his head… on purpose! Blood immediately started dripping down his face. The following day, he told late night host Seth Meyers, "You know when you clink a champagne glass with a fork to get people's attention? Yeah, I didn't have a fork, so I just clinked it on my head." Logic has left the building.

It was the slap seen 'round the world. On March 27, Will Smith slapped Chris Rock on live TV on the Oscars stage for making a joke at Jada Pinkett Smith's expense, comparing her shaved head to that of Demi Moore's bald-headed character in 1997's "G.I. Jane." Jada, Will's wife, suffers from alopecia — something Chris didn't know, a source told TMZ. Video captured Will initially laughing at the joke, but Jada found little humor in it and rolled her eyes. Will quickly walked on the stage and took a swipe at Chris, stunning both him and the crowd. After walking back to his seat, Will shouted, "Keep my wife's name out of your f****** mouth." Moments later, Will — who refused to leave after the incident, according to the Academy — won a best actor Oscar for his work in "King Richard." The following day, Will publicly apologized. A week later, the Academy announced that it had banned Will from attending all Academy events, including the Oscars, for the next 10 years.

Airborne hypocrisy? Former Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover model Olivia Culpo was asked to "put a blouse on" before she was allowed to board an American Airlines flight to Mexico on Jan. 13, and the whole thing reeked of hypocrisy on the airline's end. The influencer's sister, Aurora Culpo, documented the drama on social media, posting a video of Olivia in black biker shorts, a black bralette and a long black coverup. "She looks cute. She looks appropriate. No. They call her up to the desk and tell her that she needs to put a blouse on otherwise she can't get on the plane," her sister said. Olivia, who was Miss Universe 2012, was dressed similarly to another woman the airline had no issue with. The model borrowed boyfriend Christian McCaffrey's sweatshirt so that she could board. Aurora continued to troll American, sharing images from a website that sold Olivia's too-sexy-for-air-travel outfit. "Get kicked off @americanair starter kit," Aurora captioned the post. A few days after the incident, Olivia headed back to the United States and wore a very, very similar outfit to the one that caused the "uproar," only this one was green. Delta had no problem with the look.

Kim Kardashian left Kanye West in February 2021. Then — many, many months later — she started dating Pete Davidson. None of that mattered to Ye, who quickly deemed Pete his enemy (and even blamed the "Saturday Night Live" alum for breaking up his marriage, despite the fact Kim and Pete didn't even go out on a date until October 2021.) In January 2022, Ye dissed Pete in a song and threatened to beat him up. On Valentine's Day, knowing that Kim was dating Pete, the rapper delivered a truckload of flowers to her house. Kim, however, had made it known she wasn't even in town — she was in New York with Pete. Let's see, Kanye also encouraged his followers to call Pete "Skete" and released a music video that shows a claymation version of himself kidnapping and decapitating a claymation version of Kim's beau. Kanye called it "art." After all this, Ye actually accused Pete of antagonizing him after the comedian offered to meet up with the rapper to hash out their differences.
Take two. On March 16, Kanye West directed a racial slur at Trevor Noah after the host of "The Daily Show" addressed the rapper's feuds with his ex-wife and boyfriend. "What [Kim Kardashian] is going through is terrifying to watch, and it shines a spotlight on what so many women go through when they choose to leave," Trevor said on his March 15 Comedy Central show. "What we're seeing is one of the most powerful, one of the richest women in the world, unable to get her ex to stop texting her, to stop chasing after her, to stop harassing her." After leaving the slur up for several hours, Ye deleted the post from Instagram. Several hours later, Instagram suspended Kanye's account for 24 hours.
The Weeknd made a massive gobsmacking mistake on social media on Feb. 23 when he hyped up his latest project at the precise moment Russia began invading Ukraine. At 10:35 p.m., the rapper tweeted, "LET'S GOOOOOOOO." That was just seconds after Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the launch of what he called a "major military operation" in Ukraine. A slew of The Weeknd's 15.6 million Twitter followers bristled at the message. Some fans even assumed he was cheering on Russian military forces and siding with the Kremlin. After the tweet marinated for more than two hours, the rapper realized what was unfolding and decided to delay the announcement of his mysterious project. "Unfortunately I'm just now seeing what's happening with the conflict and will pause on tomorrow's announcement," he tweeted. "I pray for everyone's safety."
Very few Las Vegas residency shows have been more hyped than Adele's. The singer was set to begin her show at Caesars Palace on Jan. 21, but the "Easy On Me" vocalist pulled the plug just one day before — mind you, this was after many fans had already traveled from across the globe to see the "Weekends With Adele" show. At the time, she blamed the cancelation on COVID outbreaks and delivery delays. Shortly after, multiple reports claimed there was more to it, pointing to issues centered on set design or stage fright. The fact that Adele later fired her design team lent credence to those rumors. Let's face it, all of these things would have likely been known many days (or weeks) in advance of the 11th-hour cancellation. Fans, many of whom dropped top dollar on tickets, flights and hotel rooms, were furious, believing Adele knew the show was likely to be canceled long before it actually was. The might have a point.

Here's the thing: Kyle hadn't told anyone (other than close friends) about the surgery! "Oh thank you for letting everyone know, Andy," she replied. Andy was mortified over his inadvertent outing, as he didn't realize that the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star had told him the news in confidence. With the cat out of the bag, Kyle opened up, revealing that she'd reduced her natural DD breasts three weeks earlier and gave her doctor two directives: "I still don't have an implant but I went in and I said, 'I want smaller boobs and I don't ever want to wear a bra ever again in my life.' And here I am." Think twice before telling Andy your secrets.
David Crosby just can't bite his tongue. In July, a fan took to Twitter to show a portrait he put together of the singer. In fact, the fan — clearly an admirer — sweetly thanked David for decades of music. The 80-year-old musician, though, found nothing redeeming about the picture and let the fan know it. "This is the weirdest painting of me. I have ever seen," he replied, adding, "Don't quit your day job." Social media was stunned at David's cranky comment. After one person questioned why David would be so critical, the "For What It's Worth" singer said, "I just didn't think it was any good … but I should not have dropped the 'don't quit your day job' on him … that was just being pissy … which I sometimes am … usually I'm fairly thoughtful." David refused to relent, telling other fans that he didn't care for the pic and wasn't going to pretend he did, nor was he going to just ignore it… which would have been much easier.
Rule No. 1: If you're looking for celebrities at a football game, know who they actually are! During a break in the action of the NFC Championship Game in Los Angeles on Jan. 30, the giant Jumbotron hovering above the field showed several celebrities who were in attendance including Gabrielle Union, Rebel Wilson and Rob Lowe. However, a moment from the game went viral after Big Sean and girlfriend Jhene Aiko were hilariously mistaken for Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. on the in-arena big screen. "@bigsean do you get mistaken for me as often as I get mistaken for you?" SMG joked on Instagram alongside a photo of the snafu. What a faux pas… or, as one person said, "The jumbotron operator really fumbled on this one." As if that weren't enough, on Super Bowl Sunday, country music singer Mickey Guyton was identified as Jhene Aiko on the worldwide broadcast. Can we get these people a face sheet?!
Simon Cowell still hasn't learned his lesson! The music mogul broke his arm after crashing on his e-bike — again! According to TMZ, Simon was rolling around London and tried to turn a sharp corner on his e-bike, but wet roads caused his tires to go out from under him. The "America's Got Talent" judge, who was not wearing a helmet, crashed to the ground and had to be taken to a hospital and treated for a broken left arm, bad facial bruising and a potential concussion. Back in 2020, Simon broke his back in three places after crashing on his e-bike. "I'm OK. I'm feeling much better thank you. It happened just round the corner," he told DailyMail.com on Feb. 2. "I'm a bit of a nutter. I'll definitely wear a helmet next time." Next time?!?!
So, you have a meeting with the billionaire founder of one of the biggest social media platforms in the world and you show up 90 minutes late? Naomi Campbell, ladies and gentlemen! The model reportedly had dinner with Snapchat founder Evan Spiegel, British Vogue editor-in-chief Edward Enninful and several other A-listers in France in June but was incredibly tardy and didn't seem to care. "She waltzed in so late mid-dinner," a source told Page Six, noting that every other attendee, including Paris Hilton and Jared Leto, arrived on time.
Kim Kardashian (and her older sister) really irked a lot of people when she gave her advice to women in business. "Get your f****** a** up and work," she told Variety in March. "It seems like nobody wants to work these days." Kourtney Kardashian, who seems to take more vacations in a month that most people take in a lifetime, agreed, "That's so true." Fans were livid over the comments and the affirmation, noting that both were born wealthy and were given a bit of a "head start" in life. After backlash grew, Kim told "Good Morning America" that her comments were taken out of context. "Well, that statement that I said was without questions and conversation around it," Kim said. "It became a sound bite really with no context. And that sound bite came off the notion and the question right before, which was after 20 years of being in the business you're famous for being famous. And I … my whole tone and attitude changed with the previous question that went into that question about what advice would you give to women."

On Jan. 3, Tristan publicly confirmed that he fathered a child with another woman all while he was supposed to be exclusive with the reality TV star. He then apologized to Khloe for being unfaithful (again) — but she didn't take him back. "Today, paternity test results reveal that I fathered a child with Maralee Nichols. I take full responsibility for my actions. Now that paternity has been established I look forward to amicably raising our son. I sincerely apologize to everyone I've hurt or disappointed throughout this ordeal both publicly and privately," he wrote on his Instagram Story, adding, "Khloe, you don't deserve this. You don't deserve the heartache and humiliation I have caused you. You don't deserve the way I have treated you over the years. My actions certainly have not lined up with the way I view you. I have the utmost respect and love for you. Regardless of what you may think. Again, I am so incredibly sorry." Let's see, Tristan cheats and apologizes…. something feels so familiar here. Making matters more complicated and sad? In July, Khloe's rep confirmed that the star of "The Kardashians" and the athlete were expecting a child together — their second — via surrogate. The baby, it was made clear, was conceived in November 2021 before Khloe learned that Tristan was about to be a father with another woman. Then, in July, Khloe's rep (shockingly!) confirmed that the Good American founder and Tristan were welcoming a baby via surrogate — just days later the Chicago Bulls forward was seen holding hands with a woman (not Khloe) while leaving a nightclub in Greece. Can't teach and old dog new tricks.
When Rebel Wilson took to Instagram on June 9 to confirm that she's now in a relationship with a woman, fashion designer Ramona Agruma, the announcement was both surprising and celebrated. But it turns out Rebel was essentially forced to publicly declare the relationship after a newspaper threatened to out her. Just days before the reveal, the Sydney Morning Herald had reached out to Rebel's representatives indicating they knew about her new same-sex relationship and gave her two days to respond before they would publicly break news of the romance. Instead, Rebel did it herself. Afterward, the newspaper columnist who was foiled actually complained that the actress scooped him, saying the heads-up was a "big mistake." Yes, the paper said the actress was in the wrong! Ya know, because Rebel shouldn't have been able to reveal details of her own life in her own way. The editor of the newspaper scrambled and said the fact that Rebel was dating a woman was irrelevant to the reporting. Righttttt. After the dust settled, the "Bridesmaids" star tweeted, "Thanks for your comments, it was a very hard situation but trying to handle it with grace."
Kylie Jenner was dubbed a "climate criminal" in July after she opted for a private jet to travel across the Los Angeles area. Kylie, it seems, couldn't be bothered with a quick drive, which would have taken about 45 minutes. The flight — from Van Nuys to Camarillo — lasted approximately 12 minutes. Incidentally, Kylie's house is a 30-minute drive to Van Nuys, so the trip would have actually been shorter if she drove. Kylie was was bombarded with backlash because private planes are notoriously horrible for the environment and contribute to climate change. "Can't wait to see Kylie Jenner post environmental awareness pics on her [Instagram] stories as if she isn't single-handedly doing more damage to the environment than most of us with her 3 min flights," one social media user fumed. Kylie continues to be one of the most unrelatable celebrities out there.
Jennie Nguyen was fired from "The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City" in January following backlash from a series of controversial social media posts that resurfaced (the posts were made a year before she was ever on the Bravo reality show).
